Meet ‘sexy and savage’ Vanity Milan, bringing South London to Drag Race UK season three

She says she dances ‘like no one else’

Drag Race UK season three is fast approaching to bless our screens with more drama and crazy talent from our 12 queens. After the success of season two, the competition is heating up for this year’s queens who are all hoping to join The Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney as Drag Race UK winners. In the hopes of securing the crown this year is Vanity Milan, a 29 – year – old born and bred South London drag queen.

Here is everything you need to know about “sophisticated, sexy and savage” of Drag Race UK season three queen, Vanity Milan:

Drag Race UK season three queen Vanity Milan has only been doing drag for a year!

Having only done drag for a year, Vanity says she has “gone from 0 to 100 real quick”. However, she still has some great experience – in 2019 Vanity won a competition called The Crown in London, hosted by Kitty Scott-Claus. She believes that although being competitive is important when putting your mind to something, you don’t have to tear other people down to get there.

Her drag name inspo actually came from her mum who used to catch her looking in the mirror all the time to the point she said “you might as well call yourself Vanity”. The Milan part was added because she “always serves fashion”. Of course!

She says ‘Vanity is REAL’

Vanity says she is not a diva or a hun, instead she serves “unapologetic blackness”, with lots of her style deriving from her upbringing in Mitcham, South London. She says the recipe to being Vanity Milan is “sugar, spice and everything nice”.

Her talents stretch far and wide after performing on cruise ships, and  even teaching dance classes to Estonian celebrities whilst living in her husband’s home country of Estonia.

Vanity says she’s a versatile competitor who doesn’t fit into one category thanks to her performing arts background – she can sing, dance and do comedy as well as serving looks. “I dance like no-one else,” Vanity says.

We can apparently expect lots of twerking, kicks and splits from her this season.

Why should Vanity Milan be this year’s Drag Race UK winner?

Vanity believes she should be crowned the title this year as she is “nice and real” and someone who isn’t afraid of setbacks, if she fails she will get back up and try again. Vanity Milan says she can do anything she sets her mind to, including winning season three of Drag Race UK!
