Dearest Reader, Bridgerton is filming for season two in London right now

Phoebe Dynevor has posted pics, this is NOT A DRILL

Word on the Ton is that Bridgerton is filming for season two in Greenwich, London, right now. New photos and videos show the cast all dressed up and on set, after it was confirmed the show was coming back to Netflix for at least another three seasons.

In some of the shots you can see Jessica Madsen (Cressida Cowper) Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) and new cast members Melissa Advani and Priya Kansara – who will play new characters Lady Eaton and Miss Eaton. There are also a whole string of new faces who are among those caught filming again.

Phoebe Dynevor has also shared a picture on her story of herself back filming again for new episodes. It’s a selfie, and appears to be her in her full Daphne getup outside a hair and makeup trailer.

Filming for the show started at the Old Naval College at the University Of Greenwich. Previously, the stunning home used for where the Bridgertons live is a Grade I listed house that backs directly onto Greenwich Park, and today it houses a world-class art collection by Sir Julius Wernher. In the show, the exterior of Ranger’s House is covered with wisteria plants and features many of the dramatic scenes.

TikToks show fans getting right up close and personal with the cast and the filming crews. And honestly, watching them all in their outfits whilst the orchestra version of Wildest Dreams plays in the background actually brings a tear to my eyes.

Season one of the show was all about the romance of the Duke and Duchess, Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Bassett. It was later revealed that the Duke will not be appearing in season two (still crying), as the storyline arc moves forward to focus on Daphne’s brother, Anthony Bridgerton.

Season two is all about Anthony’s hunt for love, and his love interest, Kate Sharma, will be played by Simone Ashley, who is best known as Olivia in Sex Education. Kate is described as a “smart, headstrong young woman”, and when announcing the news Netflix added that she “suffers no fools — Anthony Bridgerton very much included.”

Shoots and fittings for the new episodes have already taken place, and filming is thought to be scheduled for around six months. All that into consideration and ~fingers crossed~ we could get the next episodes around the same time of year season one dropped on Netflix.

Bridgerton has been renewed for a season two, three and four – but no release dates have been confirmed. For all the latest Netflix news, drops, quizzes and memes like The Holy Church of Netflix on Facebook.
