Jameela Jamil apologises for being a ‘preachy wanker’

I mean, at least she’s self-aware???

Jameela Jamil has apologised for coming across as a "preachy wanker" after being criticised for her "condescending comments" towards Kim Kardashian earlier this week.

In a video posted to Twitter, she stated: "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry if I ever come across like a preachy wanker when I'm off on one of my rants about gender inequality.

"Especially when it comes to beauty standards, because they are fucking ridiculous and they are worse for women than they are for men and sometimes I just get really riled up."

This comes after Kim Kardashian released a full line of body makeup on KKW beauty this Monday, including a body foundation. The product was apparently intended to be used to cover bruises and other skin conditions like psoriasis, which Kim suffers from.

She was immediately criticised by Jameela Jamil, who tweeted: "Hard pass. God damn the work to take it all off before bed so it doesn’t destroy your sheets… I’d rather just make peace with my million stretch marks and eczema. Taking off my mascara is enough of a pain in the arse. Save money and time and give yourself a damn break."

The tide seems to be turning on Jameela's particular brand of feminism, as she faced considerable backlash from other women on Twitter after posting the tweet, with people calling her "annoying" and "fake".

People are even hitting out at her for targeting the Kardashians specifically, as Jameela was nowhere to be found when Rihanna released her very similar 'Body Lava' collection last year.

Jameela also posted a second apology video on her Instagram story where she blames the media, saying: "They're taking everything and pinning it all on just my one or two statements about the Kardashians.

"I think it's because the media want to pass the buck onto people like the Kardashians, because they don't want to accept that they were the reason the Kardashians were even so obsessed with their looks in the first place."

Despite all the drama, the body makeup is still for sale on the KKW beauty website, and once restocked, it can be yours for a spenny £35.50. Just don't tell Jameela.
