Her husband was 49 years her senior
Aileen Wuornos was, albeit slightly randomly, placed in episodes of Monster season four, The Lizzie Borden Story. Only some of her story was told, and some huge details were missed. For a start, at one point in her life, Aileen Wuornos had a husband, and she also had a child.
Aileen Wuornos was a sex worker, who killed seven of the men she picked up as clients. She had claimed the men had r*ped or attempted to r*pe her, and she was acting in self defence. Despite this, she was convicted and sentenced to death.
Before all of this, Aileen Wuornos had a turbulent upbringing, and was abandoned as a child. Her father died by suicide, after he was convicted of the r*pe of a child. This was just the start of what became a life of ups and downs.

Aileen Wuornos had a child when she was 14
In her early teens, Aileen Wuornos fell pregnant, and was not allowed to return home. She was then sent to a home for unwed mothers. Aileen’s son was born in 1971, when she was 14. She claimed a man who had been friends with her grandfather had r*ped her, but the identity of the father of her child is not known.
When she gave birth, Aileen gave her son up for adoption.
She also had a husband, who she married in 1976

Eventually, Aileen made her way to Florida. There, when she was aged 20, she met 69-year-old Lewis Gratz Fell. It was in 1976 that they met, and they married the same year.
Just weeks after they married, Fell filed for a restraining order against Aileen. He claimed she had a “violent temper” and had attacked her with a cane, and allegation Aileen denied, as she instead said he had attacked her.
The marriage was annulled within a year. To be precise, according to records, they were only married for nine weeks in total.
Aileen Wuornos then went on to be the first woman ever to fit the FBI profile of a serial killer. She was pronounced dead from lethal injection at 9:47am in Florida State Prison on October 9th, 2002.
