
Get the popcorn ready Lancs students: here’s Take2 Cinema’s schedule for this term
Lancaster University’s on campus cinema have a stellar lineup in store of classic re-releases and the latest films keeping you entertained this year
Even though term’s only recently started, the mounting workloads are already upon us. To save us from going insane from the never-ending assignments, Take2 Cinema have announced their schedule for this upcoming term showcasing a wide array of the latest cinematic releases.
Located at Bowland Main Lecture Theatre, screenings are shown six days a week with doors opening at 7:15pm (excluding Mondays).
Here are all the films being shown for the remainder of this term:
The Long Walk (2025)

Trust us, after watching The Long Walk you will never complain about walking up the Spine ever again. Stephen King’s latest adaptation hit cinemas this summer and is now at Take2 on Friday 24th October – Thursday 30th October.
One Battle After Another (2025)

For those eager to get a head-start on the likely best picture nominations, One Battle After Another is definitely one to check out and you can catch this from Friday 31st October – Thursday 6th November. Halloween movie night anyone (nothing is scarier than Sean Penn’s walk in this movie).
GoldenEye (1995)

An iconic James Bond movie, back in cinemas for its 30th anniversary, GoldenEye is showing at Take2 on Friday 14th November – Thursday 20th November.
Corpse Bride (2005)

On Friday 21st November – Thursday 27th November is another re-release with Tim Burton’s classic Corpse Bride showing.
Tron Ares (2025)

Without a doubt, this will have some of the best visuals this year. This latest release in the Tron franchise is being screened Friday 28th November – Thursday 4th December.
Bugonia (2025)

Finishing off the term is Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film Bugonia starring Emma Stone. Could this reach the hype of Poor Things? You can catch it on Friday 5th December – Thursday 11th December.
Tickets can be purchased here for £4.50 (£3.50 for members) or in-person on the night of the screening. A variety of refreshments can also be purchased upon entry.
