Big Brother villain George is actually an actor who specialises in physical and sketch comedy
He’s not just the parish councillor he says he is on the show
Last night, Big Brother UK 2025 was rocked by the arrival of George – a villain in every way, shape and form. From his machiavellian appearance complete with the type of socks that Rumpelstiltskin might menace fairytales in, George RUFFLED feathers. Extremely opinionated and “right leaning” – George waltzed in and with 15 minutes of airtime told overweight farmer Cameron off for eating biscuits too early in the morning and said all the female housemates look and think the same. Safe to say, he’s controversial. It’s all actually rather panto, and whilst George Gilbert went into Big Brother UK 2025 instantly causing chaos as a parish councillor for his small village in Essex – it turns out he actually has another job that the show hasn’t told us about and he hasn’t told his housemates. He’s a professional actor.
Hang on, what!?
George Gilbert went into Big Brother UK 2025 declaring himself to be a parish councillor. Which is likely true – but being a parish councillor is unpaid and he has never given up any further information about how he earns money. Instead, he’s been controversial about various points of conversation in the house and it feels like he’s on a mission to make his mark as the series villain. Also, despite the fact that I disagree with every point he makes in the house I do think he’s needed in there to stir up drama.
But George isn’t just a parish councillor – he’s an actor. Big Brother fans on Reddit found his profile on Backstage which shows he’s a jobbing actor and has had a number of professional credits. This profile explains how he was professionally trained at drama school and contains his actor headshot.

George has had roles in Downton Abbey, The Essex Serpent, Pennyworth, Sneakerheads and Everything Now. He’s also acted in ad campaigns for Adidas, Eurovision and was in Foot Asylum: Sabotage.
Most interestingly, his notable skills as an actor are listed as physical and sketch comedy. Is he embodying the villain as a character even more than it seems?
