Your Liverpool stereotype based on your go-to coffee order

From Scouse Prins to Nike Tech sets, there’s something for everyone

Ever wondered what your coffee order really says about you? Here’s the orders that the classic Scouse stereotypes might enjoy.

Scouse Prinny

The rollers are firmly in and the spray tan is marinating. If your go-to order is the seasonal matcha or coffee with 40g of sugar in, this might be you. Extra points if you love a Sunday morning Lark Lane mooch.

The football lads

The type to order ‘just coffee’, the lads of Liverpool are more concerned with the latest match than the new oat milk cold foam flavours. Often spotted around town in some form of gym attire, their morning coffee is less of an aesthetic choice and rather a job done kind of vibe. Honestly here for it though, the phone doesn’t always eat first.

The performative male

We are currently in a performative male epidemic, and it’s safe to say a tote bag and an overpriced takeaway coffee on Bold Street go hand in hand. An iced black coffee would really fit the cool and nonchalant aura, but best believe they’re wincing after every sip and secretly want a banana bread matcha.

Wools

Simple but effective, a cappuccino is a classic start to the day. A slightly less creative choice, but warm and comforting nonetheless. This stereotype can be faced with some criticism, but they know what they like. If they’re feeling wild, a hot chocolate might be on the cards.

Students

How could we forget the students of Liverpool! The answer may seem obvious, but it stands true. Coming out of a hard day of yapping in the Harold Cohen, it seems only right to treat yourself to a Union Brew matcha. Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with some white chocolate syrup and a queue that goes out the door.
