From disco Spoons to campus takeover: A full rundown of Bonnie Blue’s Leeds Freshers’ event
Who knew Bonnie had so many die hard fans in the city?
This week, Bonnie Blue kicked off her infamous “Bang Bus” tour, visiting cities across the UK during university Freshers’ Weeks.
The “Bang Bus” is a standard minibus, but what makes this one so special is that someone painted it blue and wrote “Bonnie Blue Bang Bus” on the exterior. Targets of the 12 day tour include “barely legal” students, which isn’t a sentence anyone should have to write.
Bonnie, whose real name is Tia Billinger, is halfway through the trip, and she’ll have visited nine UK cities by the end of it. So far, the adult content star’s been to Glasgow, Newcastle, Lincoln, Leeds and Sheffield. Other pit stops include Nottingham, Oxford, Cambridge and London.
Though Bonnie’s got a pretty infamous rep for a certain kind of content, the events have come with a warning for “no sexual behaviour”.
What actually happened during Bonnie’s Leeds Freshers’ tour?
Sightings of Bonnie’s “Bang Bus” in the city first appeared earlier this week, mustering up excitement, shock, and some dreadful TikTok sounds.
@viraledits_uk1 Why is Bonnie Blue driving around Leeds
In a video posted to the platform, Bonnie told fans: “I’m in Leeds tonight. Last time I stayed in Leeds I stayed in an Ibis budget and I could barely afford my taxi back. But very different circumstances this time.” Spot on, Bonnie. Ibis budget to Bang Bus is quite the turnaround.
After a “very stressful” eyeliner application and some tough decisions regarding outfit choices, Bonnie marched down the hotel corridor announcing she was 15 minutes late.
You might think a bit of tardiness isn’t a huge deal, but with the literal hordes of Leeds students waiting for her, I reckon she had a few freshers up in arms thinking they’d missed their one and only chance for a selfie.

According to the star, people had actually been coming into the hotel’s reception area and asking if Bonnie was staying there. Luckily, staff said they didn’t know, but the desperation required for those levels of detective work is probably the most concerning part of the whole anecdote.
@bonnieblue spend 24 hours with me in Leeds
The first pitstop was disco Spoons (officially called The Hedley Verity) – the Wetherspoons in Leeds’ city centre famous for its dance floor transformation on weekends.
Students can be seen jostling for selfies and downing shots, as Bonnie signs “barely legal” merch t-shirts and throws them to the crowd.
Reflecting on the disco Spoons experience, Bonnie said: “Wetherspoons was good – a little bit chaotic, could’ve done with a bit more space – but everyone was really nice.”
“Gave out t-shirts and lots of shots so hopefully I didn’t get the 18-year-olds too drunk.”
I really didn’t know Bonnie had so many die hard Leeds fans, but Lord help any freshers who woke up yesterday morning to find their new flatmate sitting in the kitchen wearing a signed “barely legal” t-shirt.
‘The perfect car parking space’
@best.clips.uk1 BONNIE BLUE’S BANG BUS IN LEEDS
To top it all off, the Bang Bus found what Bonnie described as “the most perfect car parking space” – right in front of one of Leeds Beckett University’s main buildings. The bus could then be seen…erm…swaying back and forth. The weather has been taking a turn for the worst recently, though I’m not sure gale force winds were expected on Wednesday night.
Either way, it’s safe to say the scenes were a Beckett campus first.
For those who didn’t manage to nab a t-shirt in Spoons, lucky freshers could secure one as the “Bang Bus” made a slow detour back to the hotel, handing out the merch through an open window along the way.
In Bonnie’s TikTok, a guy can be seen collecting his t-shirt before saying: “How we doing, mate? You little tart, you.” Others scream: “Oh my God, it’s Bonnie Blue”, palms pressed together as if in prayer. Yet another goes in for the formal hand shake, with pleasantries exchanged about the “nice” evening they’re having.
Ah, charming. Leeds boys at their finest.
Numerous shouts of “Bonnie” can he heard from students of all genders as they chased her down the streets with their phones, swarming the content creator for selfies before the “Bang Bus” retreated to the hotel.
After what looked like a long evening, Bonnie got into bed and reflected on the “good night” she’d had in Leeds.
The next stop on her tour is Nottingham, with the visits seeing the star attract even more notoriety than last year. But, regardless of the ethics surrounding her “barely legal” targets, it doesn’t seem to be affecting the number of crowds she’s managing to draw in.
