So, who exactly is Capricorn Clark and what did she say in her testimony against Diddy?

‘My job was to be invisible’

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing a high-profile federal trial in Manhattan, accused of sex trafficking, racketeering, and other serious offences. Over the past few weeks, the court has heard testimony from a range of former employees, associates, and music industry figures, including artist Kid Cudi and Capricorn Clark.

Capricorn Clark was a former assistant and creative director for Diddy. This week, she testified in federal court, sharing detailed and disturbing accounts of her time working for the music mogul. Clark worked closely with Diddy from 2004 to 2012, and later for Cassie Ventura until 2018. She has since moved on to work as a creative consultant in fashion and media. During her testimony, she said in court, “My job was to be invisible. I worked 24 hours a day. I didn’t sleep.”

One of the most disturbing incidents she described happened in 2011, when Diddy allegedly showed up at her apartment with a gun, accusing Cassie of being involved with Kid Cudi. “Get dressed. We’re going to kill Cudi,” allegedly Diddy told her. “I thought I was being kidnapped,” she testified. “I was scared, I didn’t know what he was going to do.”

As reported by Washington Post, Clark called Kid Cudi in a panic to warn him that Diddy was coming. Cudi also took the stand, confirming that she had sounded terrified on the phone. He said Diddy later entered his home uninvited. Not long after, Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway. “I knew it was him,” Cudi testified.

Clark also recalled a 2006 confrontation in Miami. After confronting Diddy about her workload and working conditions, she said he pushed her out of his house. “If you hate it here, get out of my house,” he allegedly shouted before shoving her.

Clark also testified that in 2012, after three of Diddy’s chains went missing, she was held inside a Manhattan building for five days. She was forced to take multiple lie detector tests and was threatened repeatedly. “They said if I failed, they were going to throw me in the river,” she said, referring to both the polygraph examiner and Diddy’s longtime bodyguard, Paul Offord. “I didn’t steal the jewelry, but I was treated like a criminal,” she told the jury.

Clark also described witnessing Diddy physically assault Cassie Ventura. “He dragged her out of bed,” she said, according to The Daily Beast. “He kicked her multiple times while she was curled on the floor.” When Clark tried to step in, she said Diddy threatened her directly, “He told me if I stepped in, I’d be next.”

Despite earlier testimony about threats and alleged kidnapping, Clark told the court she later went back to work for Diddy. During redirect questioning, she explained that she felt she had no other option. “He held all the power as it relates to me,” she said, adding that she just wanted “to work and provide for my son.” She told the jury she needed to show the industry that she “was valuable and not disposable.”

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The federal trial continues in Manhattan.
