Cassie’s ex-best friend finally breaks silence on alleged Diddy assault after taking $30k settlement
‘I draw my line at physical abuse’
Model Kerry Morgan, ex-best friend of Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, gave testimony in federal court this week as part of the ongoing criminal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs. According to The Independent, Morgan claimed that in 2018, Diddy physically assaulted her. And later offered a $30,000 settlement.
Morgan, 39, told the court that the alleged incident took place at Cassie’s home in the Hollywood Hills. She testified that while Cassie was in the bathroom, Diddy entered the room, came up behind her, choked her, and hit her with a wooden hanger behind her right ear. Morgan said she sustained a concussion and had visible finger marks on her neck following the incident. She also said Diddy was upset and questioning her about Cassie’s whereabouts.
Morgan testified that a month later, Cassie met her at a pizza restaurant and offered $30,000 and a non-disclosure agreement on Diddy’s behalf. Morgan said that she signed the document and accepted the money, marking the end of their 17-year friendship. “I draw my line at physical abuse,” Morgan said, adding that Cassie was “not supportive” after the incident.

As reported by New York Post, Morgan also shared a second disturbing memory from a 2013 trip to Jamaica. She said she witnessed Diddy drag Cassie by her hair for about 10 feet down a hallway before pushing her to the ground, where Cassie hit her head. ““I saw him push her on the ground and she hit her head on a brick,” Morgan said. “She didn’t move.” Morgan described how the violence followed Diddy complaining that Cassie had spent too long in the bathroom. She told the jury she didn’t want to testify, but did so because she was subpoenaed. “I’ve moved on with my life and all these people and their problems,” she said.
She also responded to Ventura’s recent claim that drugs may have triggered the 2018 altercation. On the stand, Morgan said she didn’t remember using drugs that day and didn’t recall seeing any in the room.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. The trial is ongoing in Manhattan Federal Court.
