Arrietty has now said she ‘threw things’ on set after she got eliminated from Drag Race

Last week she had to give an apology for making very serious false allegations about another queen

Controversial Drag Race queen Arrietty has now revealed even more drama after confessing she ‘threw things’ on the set of her season after she was eliminated from the show. The elimination of Arrietty was hugely drama filled after the queen made extremely personal comments attacking eventual winner Onya Nurve – and then Arrietty found herself in more backlash last week after making some serious allegations about Irene the Alien online that she then deleted and issued a major apology for. Following a recent appearance on a podcast that dropped on Friday, Arrietty shared that getting eliminated on Drag Race was even more drama filled than we actually saw – with the queen confessing she “threw things” on set.

‘Unhinged’

When Arrietty got eliminated on Drag Race earlier this year as season 17 aired, we saw the mirror message to Onya Nurve which read “As one smelly b*tch to another, Onya, please brush your teeth.” That message sent ripples of devastation through the group – as Onya shared she had a medical condition and insecurity regarding her breath and teeth. Arrietty subsequently apologised, but now has shared when she got eliminated from Drag Race it was WORSE and she “threw things”

Speaking to Joseph Shepherd for his Exposed: After Dark podcast series, Arrietty said “Y’all saw how unhinged I was. Y’all didn’t see the clips that were cut. [They cut] a lot. I was throwing myself on the ground, I was crawling… bananas.”

Arrietty further said “I was off the rails, and they broke me. I mean, I look like Azula [the character from Avatar: The Legend of Aang] in the mirror message. They broke my ass.

“I was even worse [than Pangina crying after her elimination on UK Vs The World]. I was violent worse. I was throwing things. Anything I saw. Boom, boom. Doing a cartwheel, fell. I feel things. I’m an emotional creature, but that day, and that moment specifically, everything was so heightened and I didn’t know how to deal with it.”

The podcast was filmed BEFORE the saga with Irene

Shepherd puts a disclaimer at the start of the podcast where Arrietty confessed that she threw things on the set of Drag Race that she filmed her appearance before everything that happened last week with Irene.

On Friday, Arrietty issued an apology after accusing Irene of very serious allegations – which she has now retracted and admitted were baseless. The apology shared on Arrietty’s social media reads: “Good evening, On Tuesday, despite my best efforts to remain composed and rise above the gossip, I allowed a moment of anger and weakness override my better judgment. In an instinctive attempt to protect myself, I reacted to speculation that stemmed from comments made by Irene.

“I deeply regret responding impulsively and acknowledge that what i said (particularly the insinuations I made) caused harm. After a conversation with Irene herself, we decided a public statement was necessary. I want to take full responsibility for the language I used, including the words ‘prepubescent’ and ‘racist.” ‘While they were intended as exaggerations, I now understand that they were not only inappropriate, but also deeply hurtful and unnecessary.

“I am truly sorry for any pain or discomfort my words may have caused. I hope people can understand the very human instinct to defend oneself, and perhaps even relate to the experience of making mistakes in emotionally charged moments. Many of you may remember a similar misstep I made during the roast. I had hoped I’d grown from that experience, but clearly, I still have work to do.

“In this recent situation, I momentarily lost sight of that growth. I recognise that I have a tendency to react emotionally, and I want to be transparent in sharing that I am actively seeking support through talk therapy and anger management. I am committed to learning better tools for handling difficult situations with grace and care.

“To Irene the Alien, and to the wider LGBTQIA+ community, I offer my sincerest apologies. In a time when our community already faces immense external pressure and hostility, it’s even more important that we show up for one another with respect and compassion. I take full accountability for my actions, and I am committed to doing better. Thank you for reading, and for holding me accountable.”
