James Blunt finally reacts to claims he was naked man in Hayden Panettiere’s painful yacht story

Following the sad and sudden death of Hayden Panettiere earlier this month, people began talking about her horrendous yacht story that allegedly involved Diana Jenkins and James Blunt. 

Hayden’s death came as a massive shock, moreso after her massive interview earlier this year on Jay Shetty’s podcast. In there, she detailed how she was “led by somebody that I had grown to trust and see as a protector and somebody who had my back” down the stairs into a “very small” room.

“She physically put me in the bed next to this undressed man who was very famous,” she recalled, saying that the unnamed man acted like it was “just an average day for him and this is something that happens all the time.”

“My hair stood on end and I became ferocious,” she added. “I was like, ‘This is not happening.’”

Due to Hayden’s public friendship with former RHOBH alum Diana Jenkins, people suggested that she was the woman that Hayden trusted. 

Refuting that, Diana Jenkins’ rep told TMZ: “Diana has had to deal with false online rumours before, and sadly this is just another example of that. So let me be 100 per cent clear about this: It most certainly is not Diana, and anyone who claims it is her will be sued.”

At the same time, by connecting dots and digging out pictures from that time, people claimed that James Blunt was the “very famous” naked man on the yacht. He’s now responded… sort of.

James Blunt denies being the man in Hayden Panettiere’s story

On Twitter on Monday, James Blunt shared a blog post written by journalist Dean Piper, who argued against claims sweeping across the internet. 

“Since the sad death of Hayden, I’ve been contacted by a host of ‘internet sleuths’ asking for more details, for their ongoing ‘investigation,’” his Substack post argued. 

“Guys, it only takes the smallest of AI searches to find out that in May 2009, when the pictures of Blunt and Panettiere were taken, she was 19, almost 20. So, if the incident happened when she was 18, Blunt’s not your guy to start with.”

In his Twitter post, James Blunt merely shared the link with a side-eye emoji.
