This same hidden item appears in every single episode of Black Mirror season seven

It’s the best easter egg yet

People are still finding new easter eggs in Black Mirror season seven almost two weeks after it was released, and there’s one that repeats in every single episode.

Yes, the same object appears somewhere in Common People, Bête Noire, Hotel Reverie, Plaything, Eulogy and USS Callister – and I bet you didn’t spot it!

It’s a Bandersnatch book, which links to the season five episode about a programmer who tries to adapt a dark fantasy novel into an interactive video game.

The 2018 episode is probably one of the most famous of all time, because viewers were able to make decisions for the main character and change the entire plot.

Seven years on, the yellow and orange paperback book from the original episode now appears once in all six season seven episode. Here are pictures to prove it.

Plaything stars 10 years after Bandersnatch was set. However, according to Black Mirror’s creator, it’s not technically a sequel.

“The story idea was floating around for a little while, but I wasn’t thinking of it as a Bandersnatch sequel,” Charlie Brooker told Entertainment Weekly.

“I knew I wanted Cameron to meet this programmer, but [I thought], wait a minute, I created this character, Colin Ritman, played by Will Poulter in Bandersnatch.”

“I loved that character, and Mohan Thakur, Asim Chaudhry, who played his boss in the original Bandersnatch. I’m going to write the best version of that,” he continued.

Brooker prayed they could get Poulter and Chaudhry back to reprise their roles, and thankfully, he was able to.

He revealed they are toying with the idea of a proper Bandersnatch sequel called Banderstruck too, so that could be coming in a future season.
