Attention: The King’s Tab is looking for MORE new writers to join the team

Meet us at our open meeting at Shakespeare’s Head on Thursday 23rd at 6pm

The King’s Tab is once again looking for new writers to join its team.

To kick off semester two, the team at The King’s Tab would like you to join them at Shakespeare’s Head on Thursday 23rd January at 6pm for an open meeting.

The beloved Wetherspoons is just a couple minutes walk from the Virginia Woolf building on Strand campus and is always bustling on a Thursday night.

Not to worry, you will be able to spot the team from a mile away with their stunning ‘The Tab’ tees on.

Here you can meet the team, ask any Qs and have a lil cheeky drink or two.

We have had a successful first semester at The King’s Tab this year. We broke multiple original news stories such as the King’s student who had their homophobic messages leaked, more dramas surrounding KCL Confessions, and Strictly coming to King’s.

Lots of fun features have gone live too, which have been immensely popular among viewers, such as the staples of every London uni student, the A-Z of every student at King’s, and a week in the life in the KCL surf club (as a girl who doesn’t actually surf).

At the King’s Tab, we are the number one point of call for all of your King’s news, memes and gossip. We are written by King’s students FOR King’s students.

We are looking for anyone and everyone to join. Basically, whoever you are, or whatever you are interested in: An aspiring journalist, meme maker, content creator, or someone looking for and to try something new – we want you to be at our meeting.

If you join our team, you will work with The King’s Tab editorial team, our Assistant Editor from The Tab HQ, and will have the opportunity to meet other student writers all over the UK.

No previous experience is necessary, and most importantly, it’s something to go on your CV that looks REALLY good. Tab alumni have frequently gone to work for famous publications all over the world, including VICE, The Times, and Vogue. Some have also worked at The Telegraph, The Sun, Daily Express, Spectator and Cosmopolitan too.

So, if you think you might be interested, we would love for you to join us at our Shakespeare’s Head on Thursday 23rd January at 6pm for an open meeting.

We shall all enjoy a Thirsty Thursday together.

If you’re unable to attend in person, just drop us a DM and follow us on Instagram for all the latest updates.

Again, no application process or experience is required.

We hope to see you there!
