Wondering how to spend your NYE in London? I’ve got you covered

It’s Night at the Museum in REAL life

Spending your New Years Eve in London can go either one of two ways: you have had your plans and event solidified and booked since October, OR like me, you scramble to find something at the last minute and everywhere is booked or will place you in debt for 2025.

Although watching the fireworks in Westminster is very London coded, I think I will just watch them on Sky News as I don’t want to be squashed by tourists.

I thought perhaps about travelling to Paris, but then realised I’m a student.

Before you start to induce anxiety for yourself, I have done some research into all the best events ongoing in London to have a successful New Year’s Eve with you and your loved ones. Not all are drink related, or have a price tag, so even if you’re a sober queen and broke after Xmas, you can still say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025 in style.

The Prince

If you’re feeling boujee and want a good boogie, The Prince in West Brompton is the way to go. It’s a huge venue with a live DJ and good vibes. The Prince was even voted as the official best pub in London by the public in the London Lifestyle Awards. They even have a theme this year, of ‘The Red Carpet.’ It’s giving – all the girls will be head to toe in PLT or House of CB, but I love the sound of it anyway. Get me to Westfield so I can Klarna a dress.

KOKO

Another party venue: Koko in Camden brings all the energy. If you’re really into your music, this is the place for you. Get your tickets now, because they are selling fast. If you’re undecided, I guarantee there will be resells in a week time. Catch me and my flatmates there NYE xx

Silent Disco at Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is once again decking itself out from top to bottom in the midst of all the dinosaur skeletons for New Year’s Eve. On their website, the museum details:

“We’ll have wandering acts throughout the evening and with our special VIP area, this year’s party promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Enjoy access to a private bar, exclusive entertainment, interactive science content, and a complimentary drink.”

You don’t need to drink to have the time of your life here. Don’t mind if I do.

Rooftop Bar

You want to party but not miss the view of the fireworks? A rooftop bar is the perfect choice. Some of the best rooftop bars in London host amazing events on NYE. Take a look at Radio Rooftop, Madison’s, Wagtail or Aqua Kyoto.

Thames Cruise

Perhaps if you get sea sick – don’t try this one. But it’s a great way to see the London Eye fireworks without going into the crowds. Get yourself a cosy hot chocolate, wrap up and take it all in.

Baby you’re a firework! (Free)

Confirmed and rendered the best places to watch the fireworks in London on NYE for FREE: Greenwich Park, Alexandra Palace, Hampstead Heath, Cannon Street and Vauxhall Bridge. No, you don’t need a ticket. Just go and get those shots for your Instagram story.
