They’re back! Students wearing blue shirts and chinos now allowed back into Cardiff SU club

People wearing blue shirts and chinos are now allowed back into Cardiff University’s Students’ Union.

The Cardiff Tab previously reported that students wearing blue shirts and chinos had been banned from entering the SU nightclub on Wednesday nights.

This was after a group of students wearing the outfit were involved in an incident in the queue for the club event YOLO on 4th October.

The students involved allegedly started a maul in the queue which led to them pushing against each other and being removed from the queue, a witness told The Cardiff Tab at the time.

The Students’ Union called the incident “reckless, dangerous, and incredibly irresponsible” and explained the ban was due to a number of students’ “dangerous behaviour”.

A member of Cardiff University Rugby told The Cardiff Tab that they’d been allowed back into the Students’ Union in their now infamous outfits after “working cooperatively” with the SU and Athletic Union.

This comes only a few weeks after committee members from the Rugby Club “voluntarily” stepped down, and a spokesperson from Cardiff University Rugby told The Cardiff Tab that there would be no socials under the club’s name until after Christmas.

The Cardiff Tab approached both Cardiff University and Cardiff University’s Students’ Union for comment but they both did not respond.
