Lancaster University climbs 24 places in QS World University Rankings for 2024
The university now ranks 122nd out of 1500 universities worldwide
Jessica OwenLancaster University has risen 24 places in the QS World Rankings 2024 which were released today.
The university now places 122nd out of 1500 universities around the world, maintaining its place as the highest ranked non-Russell group institution in England. Lancaster University takes 20th place in the ranking of UK universities.
The university has also ranked 24th for sustainability globally, placing it 5th amongst UK universities.
Lancaster ranked 115th for Citations per faculty, 116th for the number of international students and 157th for international faculty members.
The QS World University Rankings rank institutions according to their achievements in five categories: research and discovery, employability outcomes, learning experience, global engagement and sustainability.
The 2024 rankings mark the 20th edition of QS World University Rankings. They cover 1,500 institutions across 104 locations, and are unique in emphasising sustainability and employability.
The 2024 rankings are currently the largest QS World Rankings to be released to date.
This year’s results come after Lancaster recently regained its status as a top ten university in the UK with the release of the Complete University Guide’s 2024 league tables.
