A judge has granted Perez Hilton visitation with his kids, but there are two substantial conditions

The judge might issue further orders

Perez Hilton has not seen his kids since his now-viral livestream, but now a judge has granted him conditional visitation.

We earlier learned that Perez Hilton’s mum and sister had sought custody of his kids, Mario III, 13, Mia Alma, 11, and Mayte, eight, amidst his long recovery. His kids and his niece were present for the start of his livestream, but his sister took them out of the house when it became clear that “Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis.”

“His mom has been the steady presence in those kids’ lives for years,” a source told a journalist at the time. “She and his sister have practically raised them. Right now, everyone agrees the children need stability above all else.”

Perez Hilton is now allowed to see his kids

This week, a court in Miami, Florida, declared that Perez Hilton’s mum, Teresita, would have authority over “all things necessary for the care of the children” like education, housing, and healthcare.

In court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Judge Laura Cruz did not bar Perez from spending time with his three kids. Instead, he has to seek psychiatric help to be cleared for visitation.

“Any visitation with Respondent shall be supervised either with an agreed upon family member or a therapist until further order of the Court or agreement of the parties, so long as Respondent has obtained psychiatric clearance,” the order stated.

Perez agreed to the two conditions on August 18, but the agreement is not forever. Judge Cruz expressly retained jurisdiction over the case, stating that further orders could be issued in the future. This might include a “transition plan” for when Perez is able to take care of himself and his family better.

Sadly, it’s looking like a long recovery for the original influencer, as he lost a “significant” amount of blood that required multiple surgeries. He’s now in inpatient care, which includes both mental and physical health treatment.
