There are absolutely no better vibes than it being sunny at uni. Everyone and their dog cramming into your shitty local uni park and using it as an excuse to crack open the first pint at approximately 9:27 am, tinnies, so many TINNIES and practically living in the pub garden.

Everyone just kind of loses their minds, says to hell with all their lecturers and just makes the most of the absolute VIBES that is summertime at uni.

And if you’re as addicted to these immaculate vibes as I am, is there a specific Russell Group you can go to maximise your chances of them? Because TAKE ME THERE.

Well, by looking at the Met Office’s average annual sunshine for the postcode of each Russell Group uni, we finally know which unis are the sunniest. And the lucky uni with the most sun is Southampton, which is probably the only perk of going there. The University of Southampton gets an average of 1,689.3 hours of sun every year.

But at the other end of the sunny ranking is, unfortunately Glasgow, where students can only expect to get around 1,203.1 hours of sun per year. So, make the most of it!
