Jade’s spoken out about Ridge calling her ‘dece’ at their MAFS wedding and she’s not happy

One of the most cringe moments of MAFS Australia 2024 so far has been intruder groom Ridge constantly saying everything was “dece” at his wedding to Jade. He and his groomsmen seemed to think they invented the word, and wouldn’t let it go.

At the wedding, Ridge’s groomsmen explained “dece” is a shortening of “decent” – like nobody has ever said this before – and that it means good looking “in our vocabulary”.

If them seeming to think they coined the word wasn’t cringe enough, they then went on to call everything “dece”. Like, they weren’t lying when they said they use the word all the time. One of the worst usages of the word was when Jade was revealed as Ridge’s match, and she was called “dece”. On her wedding day! Decent! You’d be livid, wouldn’t you?

Well, shock horror, it seems she was pretty unimpressed by the word, and has spoken in an interview about how she felt about her groom’s constant usage of it.

“It was a lot,” she said on the Today Extra show. “I definitely thought it was a joke at first, but I can confirm it’s exactly the same. How they are on screen is real life.”She then added that she thought everything on the experiment “felt like a joke” to Ridge, and said she’s “a lot more serious” than her match.

When asked if she though Ridge was taking the experiment seriously, she took a *big* pause, but then said: “I do think he’s taking it seriously.”

The host then asked her why she hesitated, and Jade added: “I’ve never met anyone like Ridge before and I’ve never really surrounded myself with someone who’s so happy-go-lucky every single day, so to me I felt like everything was a joke to him. But, he can really buckle down and take things seriously. Which is good, because I’m a lot more serious.”
