Catch me and Claudia Winkleman becoming besties immediately

Applications to be on series two of BBC’s The Traitors have just opened, and my mind, body and soul could not be more ready. Spending the summer in a Scottish castle being camp and wearing cloaks with Claudia Winkleman? Yes please.

Series one of The Traitors was released before Christmas last year, and it’s safe to say it took the whole world by storm. From Maddie’s “Faithful, Faithful, not sure, Traitor” speech, to Amanda, the camp goddess we all fell in love with, it was by far the best TV of 2022.

The BBC has confirmed there will be a second series of The Traitors, thank god, and applications have now opened, meaning you have a chance to be on the show!

Here’s everything you need to know about the applications for The Traitors series two, and how to apply:

So the first thing you need to do is head to the page for The Traitors on the BBC casting website.

This describes the show: “The Traitors is a reality competition series built on strategy and suspicion, filmed in the Scottish Highlands. A team of players will compete in a series of missions, the more missions they win, the bigger the prize pot.

“However, amongst the players lie the ‘Traitors’. The Traitors will meet in secret and decide who to eliminate from their fellow players known as a ‘Faithful’. The aim of the Traitors is to stay undetected until the end of the game.

“Whilst trying to avoid being eliminated, the Faithfuls must figure out who is a Traitor and vote them out so they can take the prize money for themselves. If a Traitor makes it to the end, they are in with a chance of taking home the cash prize. Throughout the season, there will be twists, turns, and surprises for the players.”

From here you can click through to the application form, if you think you have what it takes to be on The Traitors.

All you need to do is fill in some personal details, create an account, and answer one all-important question – would you choose to be a Traitor or a Faithful, if you were given the choice. and why?

Applicants must be aged 18 or over, have the right to live in the UK, and must be available to film for up to six weeks in summer/autumn 2023.

Applications for The Traitors close on 31st July 2023, although it says the closing date may be extended or closed at their discretion, so get your applications in sharpish.
