Cole branded Zanab as a ‘liar’ during season three’s Love Is Blind: After the Altar, here’s why

Uh oh

Fans of Love Is Blind aren’t typically massively divided on the cast and can agree on who is evil and who isn’t. However season three saw the biggest dive yet amongst the fan base and it’s all down to who sided with Cole and who backed Zanab.

By the end of season three, Cole and Zanab didn’t make it and it was partly down to how belittled and put down she felt by Cole. The final three episodes of After the Altar dropped last week and fans heard Cole tell his friends Zanab was a “liar.”

But what did Zanab even lie about? The majority of their relationship played out on telly and there wasn’t much we didn’t see. Their wedding day was one of the most explosive days in Love Is Blind wedding history and it was down to Zanab’s speech to Cole at the altar – she girlbossed it. But for the fans who are confused about what she apparently lied about, here’s everything we know.

What did Zanab lie to Cole about on Love Is Blind?

In the first episode of After the Altar, Cole sits down with a couple of his friends who aren’t from the show. He tells them Zanab breaking up with him on their wedding day was the “grossest things” he has ever had to go through. He also says Zanab lied to him and he paints her in a pretty negative light.

If you need a refresh as to why Cole found the day so gross it’s because Zanab dragged him so hard at the altar and called him out for everything. In her speech, she said: ““You have disrespected me, you have insulted me, you have critiqued me, and for what it’s worth, you have single-handedly shattered my self-confidence. And the messed up thing is I know I love you but love shouldn’t feel this way. I can’t marry you.” And then Cole got upset questioning why she never said any of this to his face. It was pure carnage.

There are receipts for everything Zanab has claimed about Cole, thanks to Love Is Blind dropping that clip at the end of the reunion, so it’s confusing fans what she supposedly lied about. Cole explains to his friends that before their wedding, Zanab agreed if they were to say no then they’d continue to date. But instead Zanab gave Cole a speech at the altar about how he belittled her throughout their relationship. And the pair didn’t continue to date after the altar. Cole told his friends: “She totally lied to me. Honestly, she played me.”
