It’s official! Love Island announces new show where everyone is over 30 and I can’t wait

And it’s replacing All Stars

Love Island has just announced a brand new version of the reality TV show where every single Islander is over 30 and this is going to be great telly.

The new show Love Island: Over 30s is set to replace Love Island: All Stars, taking over the January ITV2 slot and launching in 2027. It will be filmed in the South Africa villa and follow exactly the same concept, but all of the people in there will be in their 30s and 40s for the first time ever.

“ITV is excited to announce a bold and brilliant new chapter for its smash-hit series Love Island, with the launch of Love Island: Over 30s and this time, things are getting a little more grown up,” ITV said in a statement.

“Swapping situationships for serious sparks, the brand-new series will see a cast of confident, charismatic singles in their 30s and 40s head into the iconic villa, all looking for real connections – with a bit less game-playing and a lot more knowing what they want.”

They’ve promised all the chaos of the normal series, but with a bit more maturity, because dating doesn’t stop at 25. Plus, ITV hinted that some familiar faces will be making a surprise cameo. I bet we’ll be seeing Curtis on there AGAIN. I’d honestly put money on it at this point.

Some other single ex-Islanders who are over 30 include Maura Higgins, AJ Bunker, Charlie Frederick, Marcel Somerville, Gabby Allen and Elma Pazar. Plus, Laura Anderson just split from her footballer boyfriend, Clark Robertson.

The new launch comes after viewing figures for All Stars dramatically declined. In 2024, the first-ever episode of All Stars brought in a whopping 1.9 million viewers and the show continued to bring in over a million viewers every night, but this dropped as low as 490k during the 2026 series.

People have been speculating that All Stars series three would be the last one for months because they’ve run out of past Islanders to do another series. It makes sense.

“To be honest, I think this might have been the last All Stars,” Luca Bish said in an interview with Paddy Power Games after the last All Stars ended. “It feels like it’s run its course. The biggest characters who would do it have already done it, and I can’t see some of them going back in again.”
