The Netflix show got his appearance very accurate
Chilling photos of Ed Gein being led out of his house in handcuffs after being arrested show what he actually looked like after Charlie Hunnam played him in the Netflix show.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story is about the notorious serial killer’s life, starting with his mother’s death which is what led him to commit his heinous crimes.
Ed Gein inspired some of the world’s biggest horror films including Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre after he was known for making furniture out of human flesh.
Charlie Hunnam, who has previously been in Sons of Anarchy and The Gentleman, went through a huge transformation to turn himself into the serial killer, losing 30 pounds and wearing lots of makeup .
Real-life pictures of the serial killer reveal this transformation actually made the actor look scarily similar to the real Ed Gein, perhaps just a slightly younger version.
