All four BLACKPINK girls post grovelling apologies to fans they ‘upset’ and ‘disappointed’

Lisa wrote: ‘I’m truly sorry about how things turned out’

All four members of BLACKPINK have posted lengthy apologies for making their fans “feel so disappointed” on the group’s 10-year anniversary.

So, BLACKPINK‘s 10th anniversary was on 8th August 2026. The group marked this occasion by doing one fairly last-minute livestream together, followed by a meet-and-greet with 40 select Weverse members. Many fans had hoped BLACKPINK would do more to mark the occasion, and complained that they appeared to be prioritising their solo careers over the group and their fans.

Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé wrote some very intense apologies. I think GCSE drama students could use them as audition monologues.

Jennie said sorry to ‘disappointed’ fans

Jennie took to Weverse on 17th August and wrote a 300-word apology to BLACKPINK’s fans (known as BLINKS).

She began: “I’ve been thinking a lot about our 10th anniversary and honestly, it made me really sad that I didn’t get the chance to properly talk to BLINKS and share how I was feeling. I wanted to wait until I finished my last festival that was already scheduled because I felt like I could come back and speak to you with a clearer heart.”

Jennie continued: “Our 10th anniversary should have been a moment where we could just celebrate and be happy together, and I’m sorry that instead, some of you were left feeling disappointed. There’s no excuse I can give for that. BLINKS have always been one of the biggest blessings and greatest loves in BLACKPINK’s life. I’m sorry I couldn’t show you a better side of myself in that moment, and more than anything, I just want you to know how thankful I am for everything you’ve given us over these 10 years.”

Jisoo’s ‘heart’ is ‘heavy’

Jisoo apologised to BLACKPINK’s fans for the lack of anniversary events on a livestream. She also penned a lengthy Weverse post last week.

“I think this anniversary is a day where I’m feeling especially sorry,” Jisoo wrote. “over these 10 years, as BLACKPINK and as Jisoo, so many things happened – this and that – but

“I always wanted to exist as someone who only shows you my good side and gives you happiness in hard moments… but seeing so many BLINKS feeling upset makes my heart feel heavy.”

She rounded off the apology by saying, “I know you must be really upset… but I hope there’s still a little space left in there where my small sincerity can reach you.”

Lisa‘s apology was moderately shorter. Just under a week after the group’s anniversary, she shared on Weverse: “As we are all aware, there has been some matters that have been circulating online, which makes me sad and I’m truly sorry about how things turned out.”

Although Lisa sad she was “sad” that BLACKPINK’s anniversary wasn’t “a time of celebration for all of us”, she didn’t give much of a reason for why the group didn’t mark the occasion more.

“I’m not here to justify anything or make a point,” she continued, “only to honour the love and connection we shared”.

Rosé fretted about making fans ‘more lonely’

In Rosé’s post, she explained that it took her a while to pen an apology as she “came home alone and all [her] emotions came in a lot more”, and “it takes time to make [her] mind up.”

She wrote: “It’s so heavy that I think I’ve made you guys more lonely in the process.” Rosé also said she was “sorry” four times.
