Charlie Kirk’s chilling old tweet resurfaces which ‘predicted’ his own death
Investigators have now recovered a weapon they believe is connected to his attack
Right-wing influencer and MAGA supporter Charlie Kirk died after someone shot him on Wednesday, September 10, and an old tweet has now resurfaced in which he seemingly predicted his own death.
Kirk was debating a student at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University when someone shot him. The shooting occurred in front of thousands of students and supporters, and he died a short time later in the hospital. Now, authorities have named, pictured, and arrested the alleged shooter after the suspect’s father contacted them.
In the wake of death, a 2014 tweet by Kirk has gained renewed attention. In it, he wrote, “Did I just get shot by an AR-15? Feels like it.”

The AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, referenced in Kirk’s old tweet, ranks among the most widely owned firearms in the United States. Reports suggest civilians own around 25 million of them. Moreover, the weapon has appeared frequently in discussions about mass shootings in the US.
Although it is not yet confirmed which firearm caused the fatal shot, investigators recovered a weapon they believe is connected to the attack. According to the Associated Press, police found a Mauser 0.30-caliber bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel in the woods. They recovered a spent cartridge from the chamber and found three more rounds loaded in the magazine. Currently, law enforcement is analysing the weapon and ammunition at a federal lab.
Donald Trump, a close ally of Kirk, announced his death on Truth Social. He wrote, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood the Heart of the Youth in the United States better than Charlie. My sympathies go out to his wife Erika and their family. Charlie, we love you.” In addition, Trump ordered US flags to fly at half-mast until Sunday evening.
