Why TikTok is obsessed with the ‘Mornin’ Girl’ trend and her strawberries and cream calzone
She lives rent-free in my head
If you’ve been on TikTok recently, you’ll know people have found their new favourite character. She’s calm, she’s casual, she’s got a flawless pout, and she cannot stop greeting everyone with a simple but powerful: “Mornin’.”
I’m, of course, talking about the new viral TikTok Mornin’ Girl trend. The videos have racked up millions of views, inspired endless memes, and yes, left thousands of us craving a “strawberries and cream calzone.”
So, if you’re confused as to why your FYP is full of people muttering “Mornin’” in a relaxed British accent, don’t worry. Here’s everything you need to know about the Mornin’ Girl trend on TikTok.
So, what is the ‘Mornin’ Girl’ TikTok trend?
@ninaahumphrey
Couple of weeks ago, a London-based TikToker Nina Humphrey (@ninaahumphrey) posted a video while experimenting with different filters on a walk with her friend.
One of the characters she made was a glamorous woman who glided past the camera, flashing sculpted cheekbones and casually greeting with just one word: “Mornin’.”
The casual, cool, laid back style was so relatable to so many. The first Mornin’ Girl video alone has got over 3 million likes.
So, where does the ‘strawberries and cream calzone’ come in?
@ninaahumphrey
After the first video blew up, Nina doubled down and kept the character alive with a follow-up series imagining how different characters would pick up their takeaway.
Naturally, Mornin’ Girl made her return. This time, she stepped up to a delivery driver and politely asked: “Mornin’, strawberries and cream calzone? Amazing, thanks.”
The way she stretched out “calzone” with a long “ee” at the end was enough to lock it into TikTok meme history. Now, people can’t stop quoting it, whether or not they’ve ever actually eaten a strawberries and cream calzone in their lives.

So, how do you do it?
If you want to become the Morning Girl yourself, it’s actually really easy. Just open Snapchat, head to the filters section, and search for Doll Face filter. That’s the one Nina uses to transform into her viral alter ego.
Once you’ve got it on, you’ll see the high cheekbones, pouty lips and glossy aesthetic that made the character so recognisable. Now, you’re the Morning Girl who wants a strawberries and cream calzone.
