‘It’s been stressful’: The ‘real reason’ Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split is all about fame
‘No relationship could withstand that’
Though we’re yet to hear an official statement from them, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly been split up since January. Apparently, they initially kept it secret to see if it could be fixed, but after months of arguments and cold spells, they reached an “amicable” breakup earlier this month.
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source told Us Weekly. “Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Katy has been left grappling with the idea of single parenthood as a result, just as her ex suns it up in Italy for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. As we wait for an official announcement from the A-list couple, a source has come forward with what they deemed the real reason for the break-up – take a look!
Here’s the real reason Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split
We’ve established that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom went their separate ways a few months ago, but according to a source who spoke to Radar Online, the real reason for their split goes back much further. You see, multiple sources told the publication how the couple had “endless rows” because they were fuming that their “stars are fading.”
“They couldn’t take the strain of watching each other fail, and their frustrations with themselves boiled over into rows with each other,” one source said.
Both Orlando and Katy were allegedly scrambling to regain some of that fame before the split, he through a triumphant return to acting and she by regaining her popularity on the music charts. We all know how Katy’s attempt went: Being slammed for her space launch, trashed over her album release, and having her concert ripped to shreds by people on Twitter.
Things haven’t been much better for Orlando, who is reportedly banking on a return to the Lord of the Rings universe as Legolas. He’s allegedly hoping that The Hunt for Gollum – the next planned instalment in the franchise – will “finally turn him back into an international leading man.”

“He has to choose what he works on wisely between now and then,” the insider added. “He’s been stuck in a creative rut for a while, and becoming a TV star has very little appeal to him in the long term – especially after he saw how time-consuming Perry’s run was on Idol.
Another source said their constant “separate battles” inevitably pushed them apart, and they simply couldn’t stand the pressure.
“It’s been stressful as hell for them, so no wonder their separate battles ended up in them turning on each other,” the source claimed. “Not relationship could withstand that.”
