Guys, you can finally bypass Netflix’s household rules and this is how to do it
It doesn’t involve any dodgy apps, VPNs, or password sharing
Netflix’s household restriction rules have been annoying people for months, especially students, people with multiple homes, or anyone who dares to travel. The rule requires users to set a “home” location, usually using a TV and Wi-Fi connection. But if you don’t have a TV, or you move between places for school, work, or travel, it can block you from using the service you’re paying for.
Many users have said the current system feels unfair, especially when they’re not sharing passwords with anyone else.
But now, a workaround has gone viral on social media, with people calling it a “lifesaver” for students and travellers alike.
A 19-year-old student, Nadia, shared her hack after getting locked out of her own account while staying at a uni apartment. She still pays for her subscription, but Netflix’s household restriction rule wouldn’t let her watch anything because she wasn’t “home.” Rude.

So, she found a hack for it. It doesn’t involve any dodgy apps, VPNs, or password sharing. Just your browser and a few clicks.
Here’s how to bypass the Netflix household block

via SWNS
If you’re seeing that dreaded pop-up asking you to verify your household, here’s what to do:
-
Open Netflix in a browser like Chrome or Firefox
-
When the household message appears, right-click anywhere on the screen and select “Inspect” (this opens the browser’s developer tools)
-
Most Read
Press Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on Mac) and search for “NFModel…fullscreen”
-
Delete that line of code. You may need to remove it twice if it appears again
-
Close the Inspect panel and press play, the video should resume without the restriction message
That’s it. You’re back to streaming.
This method only works in the browser session you’re using, so you’ll need to repeat it each time you log back in or refresh the page. It doesn’t work on the Netflix app or on smart TVs.
So if you’re stuck with a screen telling you to “verify your household” and no way to do it, try this.
