Used by both brands, celebs and humble viewers alike, the holy airball TikTok trend is currently trending. Loads of people have used it to reveal how people have underestimated them, and how they’ve exceeded expectations with their achievements.
It was quickly picked up by the brain rotted TikTok community among us, and has been used to show off people’s successes, or nepo baby connections. In one example, a woman said: “I told him how I was really into law.”
She said the guy replied: “Oh do you watch Suits or something?”
The next clip flips to her working in court, captioning the clip”Holy fkn airball”.

But “holy airball” actually originated at a high school girls’ basketball game where a group of students dramatically screamed “HOOOOLY AIRBALLLLL” after a player missed the basket shot entirely.
