‘Charlie bit my finger’ star reacts to his viral video being found on Osama Bin Laden’s laptop

There are few memes as instantly recognisable as Charlie bit my finger, a viral video from 2007 that accumulated nearly one billion views on YouTube. Starring British brothers Harry Davies-Carr, then three, and Charlie Davies-Carr, then one, the 56-second-long video saw the latter chomping down on his older brother’s finger.

On the 18th anniversary of the viral sensation, Charlie Carr appeared on Fletch, Vaughan & Hayley on ZM 6-9, where he discussed his rise to internet fame.

“Do you ever go on a date and be like, ‘My name’s Charlie, I’m Charlie who bit the finger?” Hayley asked the now 19-year-old, who replied, “I don’t think, personally, I’ve ever told anyone in my life, to be honest.”

The hosts then asked him about his relationship with Harry now, you know, after he bit him repeatedly as a kid. Thankfully, they are on good terms and the biting incident did not spark a feud between the two brothers – phew.

“My brother, he’s studying business, I think,” he replied. “He’s good, working hard, I think. His finger should be fine.”

Harry is yet to speak out on the viral incident, though he might be scared for the safety of his digits.

Also in the interview, the radio hosts asked the Charlie bit my finger star whether he was aware that a copy of the video was found on Osama Bin Laden’s laptop back in 2012. The revelation came when the CIA released almost half a million files from the terrorist’s device, with Vanity Fair reporting that Charlie bit my finger was between files labelled “BM_missile_on_Wardag.avi” and “Existence.of.the.Angels.mp4.”

Hayley pointed out that it’s “hard to know whether you should have a sense of pride or not”, but popping up in the files of perhaps the most famous terrorist of all time is definitely something to bring up during those pesky ice breaker tasks at uni.
