These are all the Russell Group unis that are home to their own 93% Clubs

The student led society was created to support state-educated students

Studying at a Russell Group university is, and always will be, an incredible achievement for any student. There’s a sense of prestige in the air as you wander around campus, and it’s always been drilled into you that getting a degree at one of these institutions is the key to landing a decent post-grad career – if you’re not getting ghosted on LinkedIn, that is.

Achieving the right grades to get yourself into one of these universities is no mean feat either. It’s likely that you’ve considered how much easier it is to get into a fancy university if you went to a “better” school.

Nobody will blame you for thinking this way, but the reality is that a lot of Russell Groups really do favour the small handful of privately-educated students that exist across the country.

Just as much as claims of elitism and classism at certain universities exist, there is also a huge amount of state-educated students that are highlighting the dangers of the rift between themselves and their university peers, who may be more advantaged in terms of their socio-economic backgrounds.

The 93% Club is a student society that aims to represent and support these very students at British universities far and wide. It originally started at the University of Bristol, but has been adopted across the country over the past few years.
