What are the pictures that are in the opening credits at the start of Adolescence on Netflix?
The general theory is that the pictures are childhood photos of the actors from the show. And everyone guessed right, Netflix told The Tab this is who the pictures are of.
Commenting on a Reddit post, one person guessed: “They are childhood photos of the child actors that are featured in each episode. I believe those photos are out in there to show that we are all innocent when we are young, but then when we become teens, the world corrupts us.”
And you can see why people think this. The pictures used in the show do look like baby-faced versions of some of the actors. Netflix confirmed: “They are childhood images of young actors on the show, supplied with their approval.”

Other people did have other theories, which have since been proven wrong. Some believed the photos could have been of young knife crime victims, in an emotional tribute based on the topics the show covers. “I got scared that those are pictures of kids that got murdered in UK,” one person on Reddit said.
