MAFS bride claims groom ‘physically threatened’ and ‘intimidated’ her on multiple occasions
She shared the shocking allegations on TikTok
MAFS Australia 2025 cast member Jacqui Burfoot has accused her on-screen husband Ryan Donnelly of alleged violence toward her.
The pair were matched by experts on the show, which was filmed last year, and she has been outing his alleged problematic behaviour on TikTok while it’s currently airing in the UK and Australia.
A viewer asked “What was the most disturbing thing Ryan did?” and Jacqui accused Ryan of “physically threatening” and “intimidating” her in the response.
“The thing that scared me most was, if you think back to week two with the shoes on the bed incident, after I got my diary cam out, my little mobile phone, and filmed him, with the shoes on the bed for like the 10th time because he wouldn’t stop putting his shoes on the bed, he physically threatened me and intimated me and I ran out of the room sh*t scared,” she claimed.
On the show, we saw Jacqui get grossed out when her new husband put his dirty shoes on top of the fresh white bed sheets, but we never saw any retaliation. She also alleged that the shoe incident wasn’t the only time he displayed such behaviour, claiming there have been lots of similar “incidences”.

“There’s more to the story but I don’t want to go on here because he will probably retaliate as he is doing. There’s also a lot of other really scary incidences like after the final vows, I was so scared I almost called the police,” Jacqui continued to allege.
The 29-year-old called out his “gaslighting” and said she’s never been in a relationship with anyone “even close to the behaviour he exhibited” so struggled to see it at the time.

“So I wasn’t really aware of what was happening at the time but [now I’m] looking back and trying to understand what was going on and realising all of his behaviour’s just really toxic and gaslighting,” she claimed.
In an Instagram post, Jacqui also claimed she has launched a police investigation against Ryan in a “revenge porn” scandal, claiming he shared intimate and sexual content about her online.
The Tab has reached out to Ryan Donnelly, Channel 4 and Channel Nine for comment. Ryan has not publicly responded to any of the allegations.
