Babyface breaks silence and reveals his true thoughts about *that* viral Grammys interview
Multiple apology statements have been issued to him
I genuinely haven’t been able to escape that trainwreck of an interview that took place during the Grammys involving iconic musician Babyface and Chappell Roan.
In case you need a quick refresher, Associated Press reporters Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz were interviewing Babyface for the Grammys but then got entirely distracted when Chappell Roan walked past in the background.
Halfway through Babyface’s sentence, Krysta started calling out to Chappell to come over and passed her a microphone at which point Babyface awkwardly started walking away and told them to “go do that.” It was very awkward all around.

Following the very tense Grammys interview, Krysta apologised on camera to Babyface, stating: “First I wanted to say that I’m really sorry about interrupting Babyface earlier. Chappell Roan had come up and there was a lot of commotion as there is on these carpets.
“But I’m a big Babyface fan, as are we all, and I just wanted to say that I really apologise.”

Following her apology, Associated Press also issued an official statement, writing: “We are deeply sorry for cutting our interview with Babyface short on our YouTube livestream of the Grammys red carpet.
“We have apologised to him through his representative and to our viewers on the livestream.”

Babyface has since broken his silence on the Grammys incident, and it seems a moment in time he’d rather not dwell on. He told People: “The best part of the night was reconnecting with old friends, meeting new artists and feeling all the love in the room. That’s what I’ll remember.”
