Celebrities didn’t get their $36,000 Grammys gift bags for the first time ever, here’s why

There’s some serious swag in the bags

I won’t lie, whilst there’s no denying that celebrities who are literally multimillionaires definitely don’t need gift bags of free stuff there is a part of me that adores finding out what they get in terms of goodies. However, for the first time, the celebrities attending the Grammys didn’t receive a gift bag, but there’s a very wholesome reason why.

In previous years the Grammy gift bags have contained around $36,000 worth of products which included all manner of goodies, from a cordless robotic pool cleaner, Dyson noise-cancelling headphones and a red light therapy device. Just the usual kinda stuff then.

However, those attending the Grammys this year who were excited about receiving their gift bags would have been left disappointed, but it’s all for a very good reason.

Distinctive Assets, who are responsible for compiling the bags, explained that a large quantity of their gift bags for the Grammys have instead been gifted as care packages for local LA residents who lost their homes in the wildfire.

Lash Fary, founder of Distinctive Assets explained: “As I looked at the products we had gathered for our first big event of 2025, I realized what a wonderful care package they would make.”

A tag on the new care packages reads: “Inside this care package, you’ll find items chosen with love and hope for brighter days ahead. Stay strong and let this small gesture remind you of the kindness and support surrounding you.”

The packages contain various items, including a complimentary three-month disaster recovery membership from Bright Harbor, which “helps survivors navigate the complexities of filing insurance claims, receiving government benefits and vetting vendors for remediation.”

The former Grammys gift bags also feature items from brands such as Miage Skincare, L’Oréal Paris, ABLE Clothing, BAGCEIT, Boos Block by John Boos, BRĒZ, BrüMate, Dave’s Killer Bread, Frontera Wines, Helight, Hitster from Jumbo Group, HP Sprocket, Karma Nuts, KITS Eyecare, LOFT, Neue Theory, Noxgear, PETA, The Pocket Glide, Sattaché, Shinery, Stay True by Loren Lahav, The Souled Store and more. Quite a list!
