‘They need to own up’: The Pitt star deletes TikTok after serious allegations from fellow creator

The Pitt’s Jenna Moloney has been forced to delete one of her TikTok accounts after being accused of stealing content from a fellow TikToker. 

Jenna featured in season two of The Pitt as Coral Stevens, a woman suffering from a horrific sunburn whilst in a USA-print bikini. She’s also on TikTok, where she boasts 18k followers.

She did have another account, but after this drama, it seems she’s deleted it.

Why is The Pitt’s Jenna Moloney getting backlash? 

It all started late last week, when a TikToker called Erin posted a five-minute video about The Pitt’s Jenna Moloney. In it, she accused Jenna of stealing one of her videos entitled “How to prevent a hangover in your mid-20s.”

The premise was incredibly simple, and it saw Erin list several things that can help prevent hangovers when getting home from a night out. It was things like electrolytes, a full meal with protein and fat, and showering.

Soon enough, Erin clocked that Jenna had posted a similar video, and by similar, I mean the exact same – right down to the use of capital letters, it being written in the Notes app, and specific word choices. She was annoyed by this, even moreso when she realised that Jenna’s video was an advertisement for Barclose Hydration’s electrolytes. 

“Stealing from a small creator? Like you’re gonna steal from me? What? Who am I? Girl, come up with your own hangover cure list. Like, it’s really not that hard. I’m not some like, genius who came up with this amazing video concept. I just am a girl in front of a list reading off of it,” she said. 

She reached out to the brand and shared the following response from them in a screenshot: “Yes, I had sent one of your videos as a reference I did not mean for it to be exactly copied! And we would love to have you do a couple of videos and can send you out some of our product as well if you would like. How much were you looking for for 2 videos?”

Though the brand offered to work with Erin, asking her rates for two videos, she was not keen to work with them after the drama. The TikToker seemingly reached out to Jenna because the actress’s secondary account no longer seems to be active. 

In an update, Erin added: “UPDATE they took the video and the whole account down so I took my update down since that’s all I wanted!!! Thank you everyone for being outraged with me.”

Jenna Moloney and Barclose Hydration have been approached for comment.
