All the UK celebs who have been forced to evacuate their huge LA homes amid the wildfires

A number of British celebrities have had their homes affected

A number of UK celebs have seen damage to their LA homes amid wildfires, and have had to evacuate their homes because of the ongoing fires. The death toll from the blazes has increased, and this week a further warning has been put in place as winds are expected in increase the fire ferocity.

Three wildfires have spread across LA in the last week or so, and have since meant hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes. Among those have been A-list Hollywood celebrities who have left multi-million dollar mansions behind. But also among those have been some UK celebrities.

Robbie Williams

Singer Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field have spoken about how the LA fires have affected them. The couple reportedly had previous plans to get rid of their £51.6million LA home. However, Ayda has said she and 10 others have been evacuated from a property.

Speaking on Loose Women last week, Ayda said she feated for her mother, who is due chemotherapy treatment for cervical cancer. “It’s chaos here – it looks like some kind of war zone and it’s just all so sad,” she said. “I’ve had about ten people evacuated with me including my dad, who has potentially lost his house.”

According to The Mirror, Robbie and Ayda had to seek refuge in a hotel. The premiere of Robbie’s biopic Better Man was also set to take place last week, but fears over the ongoing fires caused it to be cancelled.

Mark Owen

Fellow Take That singer Mark Owen has also seen damage to his home in the fires. He and his wife Emma have left their home and are uncertain of how it remains.

“Thank you for all your messages and checking in,” she said on Instagram. “I can’t quite comprehend what happened here, but we are safe. The hurricane-force winds and lack of water have meant the fire has spread catastrophically fast and taken much of our beloved area with it. Schools, homes, shops, and stables are all gone.”

She added: “We woke up to helicopters, thick black smoke, winds howling, and the uncertainty that our house would survive. I wish I had packed better. Even if I had just grabbed each of their baby shoes, it would have been something.  So many have lost everything, pets included. And it’s nowhere near over. Three active fires are blazing around us, and there is not enough water to manage the situation. Planes are grounded due to the winds.”

She said they feel “heavy and tired” and thanked the fire service for all its efforts. It’s been reported Emma and Mark are now seeking refuge at separate locations. Emma is in a hotel with their children, whilst Mark is in his music studio. The couple are said to have saved the family pets, which are with them.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa has posted to say she “made it out the city” from the fires. It’s believed she bought a home in LA in 2020. Sharing a video of the LA skyline, she wrote on her Instagram: “Absolutely devastating and scary couple of days in LA. Thinking of all my friends and the people of the city who had to evacuate their homes. I’ll be sharing some links I find for anyone who wants to help and donate to the shelters that are currently housing a lot of displaced people.”

She later added: “I’m safe and made it out of the city. Sending my love to everyone going through this incredibly difficult time. Stay safe and take care of each other.”

James Bourne

Busted band member James Bourne also spoke out about the ongoing fires, and said he was evacuating his Hollywood home. On Twitter, he wrote: “The fires on my street have been put out.” He later added: “Major explosion on the street wtf” and then said: “Ok I’m evacuating”.

Patsy Palmer

EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer has spoken out about how the fires have affected her. She said on Instagram: “My heart is broken. My brain is fried today looking at the devastating scenes of the fires AGAIN in my hometown. I just returned home to my home in case after the fires a couple of weeks ago and left on Saturday back to work in the UK and now this.

“My family are safe but lots of my friends have lost their homes again which is extremely traumatic. Being here so far away is reallly really hard . Im praying and crying as I write this. I’m helpless here but praying hard. Please reach out if you need anything. Richard and kids are there safe and evacuated. This is huge. Really wasn’t expecting this. Heartbroken. Stay safe.”

Cary Elwes

Cary Elwes, known for The Princess Bride, posted to say he and his family tragically lost their home. “Sadly, we did lose our home but we are grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire,” he said.

“Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this tragic event and we also wish to extend our gratitude to all the firefighters, first responders and law enforcement who worked so tirelessly through the night and are still at it.
