There was a huge editing error in Missing You and I honestly don’t know how this happened

Uh-oh!

A huge editing error has been spotted in new Harlan Coben thriller Missing You, and honestly, it’s so silly I can’t believe nobody picked up on it.

Missing You follows a detective whose other half has disappeared, and then suddenly she sees him on a dating app. Whilst this is going on, we are also following the story of missing person, Rishi Magari. As with any Harlan Coben drama, the plots are going wild alongside each other, and you constantly lose track of who is linked to who and what on earth is going on. But, we live for the drama.

Detective Kat Donovan is trying to find out who killed her dad Clint, and why. Along the way – no spoilers here – she finds out a few secrets about her dad, and his life and career. After finding out some of these secrets, she goes to her mum’s house to speak to her about it all.

Whilst there, Kat and her mother have a fairly heated and emotional conversation. But, the emotion of it all is slightly ruined when you’re quickly reminded it’s all a TV show, by a huge Missing You editing error. Yikes.

At the start of the conversation, Kat’s mum is wearing what is very clearly a necklace with three layers to it. The camera then cuts to Kat telling her mum she knows that she knew about her dad’s secret all along. The camera goes back to see her mum’s reaction, and suddenly she’s wearing a necklace with two layers!

It then goes back to three parts, and back to two parts again not once, or even two or three, but FOUR times. Yes, that many!

The only way this could of happened is if what looks to us like quite a straight forward, all in one big argument was filmed in multiple takes and edited together. How the flow of the fight isn’t completely ruined, I’ll never know.
