This wild theory about Player 001 in Squid Game has completely blown my mind

There’s a theory going around about Player 001 in Squid Game and guys, my mind can’t take this anymore. Since Squid Game 2 has been released I’ve had major trust issues thanks to the Front Man, and now there are countless theories to add to my stress. That being said, this theory about Player 001 in Squid Game actually answers a lot of questions, whilst simultaneously blowing my mind at the same time.

There are already a bunch of theories about Squid Game 2. During the episodes, we saw the Front Man enter himself into the games, and play as Player 001. One of the theories says the Front Man was clearly trying to throw things from the start, and now this further one shows more about his character and potential interests in the games.

In short, the theory claims Player 001 from season one of the show is the father of the Front Man, who was Player 001 in Squid Game 2. Wild. And there’s a lot of evidence.

Right so the theory states the Front Man is the son of previous Player 001, Oh Il-nam. There is a lot of evidence for it too. In season one of the show we found out the old man, or Oh Il-nam, was behind the games. The Front Man, or new Player 001, is now the leader of the games. They both at some point played as 001, and were head of the games. A good start.

Plus, the two players have very similar names. When telling his back story to Gi-hun, the Front Man said he was called Young-il, which is very similar to Il-nam. But it doesn’t stop there, this is only where the theory really thickens.

Previous Player 001 died at the end of Squid Game season one. And we found out the Front Man’s brother is the police officer. In season two of Squid Game, the police officer and his mother were seen talking about how his father had passed away. The Front Man was also there in the final scenes with the old man, as he passed away.

Then, in season one there was a scene where Gi-hun was given milk by one of the games’ guards. He refused it and said he “can’t drink regular milk.” When he then went to sit and eat with the old man, Oh Il-nam said: “You’re just like my son” and explained he too can’t drink milk. Flash forward to the Front Man as Player 001 in season two – he offers his milk to the pregnant player. He does this because he “can’t drink it”. It’s all adding up!
