Guys, Fool Me Once author confirms there’s a sequel coming soon and it sounds wild!

Yet again, someone sees someone they believe to be dead

Following the huge success of Fool Me Once on Netflix, the author of the book has revealed a sequel is on the way. Guys, I need this right now.

Harlan Coben, who wrote Fool Me Once and a bunch of other Netflix adaptations, revealed the news on Twitter. Harlan is the creator and executive producer for several Netflix series already, including The Stranger, Stay Close, Safe, The Woods, The Innocent, Hold Tight and Gone For Good.

Fool Me Once followed the deeply corrupt Burkett family, following the death of son, Joe. His wife Maya strangely then saw Joe on a nanny cam she’d put up in the family home. She then got detective Sami Kierce on the case. This then unravelled a bunch of family secrets, ending in Maya’s death, too. But now there’s more to come!

“My next novel is NOBODY’S FOOL,” Harlan posted, saying the book is due out in March 2025. He then explained the plot of the Fool Me Once sequel.

“A year after the devastating events that took place in Fool Me Once, a secret from former Detective Sami Kierce’s college days comes back to haunt him,” he explained. “Present day is hard enough for Kierce, but his past isn’t through with him yet… Sami Kierce, a young college grad backpacking in Spain with friends, wakes up one morning, covered in blood.

“There’s a knife in his hand. Beside him, the body of his girlfriend. Anna. Dead. He begins to scream – and then he runs. 22 years later, Kierce, now a private investigator, is a new father who’s working off his debts by teaching wannabe sleuths at a night school in New York City.

“One evening, he recognises a familiar face at the back of the classroom. Anna. It’s unmistakably her. But as soon as he makes eye contact with her, she bolts. For Kierce there is no choice. He knows he must find this woman and solve the impossible mystery that has haunted his every waking moment since that terrible day. His investigation will bring him face-to-face with his past. Soon he discovers that some secrets should stay buried.”

Plus, there are two more Harlan Coben adaptations coming to Netflix in 2025, with the first being Missing You – being released on New Year’s Day.
