Following Fool Me Once, Netflix releases first look at new Harlan Coben drama coming very soon
Missing You has Richard Armitage in the cast, of course
After Fool Me Once became one of the most successful Netflix shows of all time, we’ve been given a first look at the next Harlan Coben book being adapted into a thriller drama, titled Missing You.
With more than 80million books sold worldwide, Harlan Coben is the perennial number one New York Times author of over thirty novels, including Fool Me Once, Tell No One and I Will Find You. Of course, all of his books and TV adaptations are known for their huge twists and shocking mysteries. Plus, there’s now a high chance Richard Armitage will be cast in some form. And he’s in this next one, don’t you worry.
Missing You feels a bit like the same style of mystery we had in Fool Me Once. It follows a detective whose other half has disappeared, and then suddenly she sees him on a dating app. There will be five episodes in total, and from the first look pictures – they all look jam-packed with drama.
The Netflix synopsis for Missing You reads: “Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”
The show has a very impressive cast – including Harlen Coben x Netflix staples, Richard Armitage and James Nesbitt.

It will star Rosalind Eleazar in the lead role as Kat Donovan, a detective specialising in Missing Persons. Starring alongside her is Ashley Walters, Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer and James Nesbitt.
The series arrives on Netflix in the New Year, and follows the success of Fool Me Once, recently named as the number one most viewed TV show on Netflix for the first half of 2024. In keeping with previous Harlan Coben adaptations, Missing You relocates the story from the US to the UK. Filming took place in and around Manchester and the North West of England.
I can’t wait!
