Three arrested after Birmingham fireworks ‘war’ in which one man used a rocket like a ‘gun’
Viral videos have came out recently showing a man using a firework as a weapon
Following individuals shooting fireworks at each other on Staniforth and Bangor Street in Birmingham city centre, the police have made multiple arrests connected to the 31st October incident.
New viral footage has been captured showing a hooded figure launching over 50 fireworks towards other individuals near Aston University.

The video acquired by Birmz is Grime, has gained over 200,000 views on social media.
In the footage, a person can be seen using a firework as a “gun” whilst running and rapidly firing rockets in every direction.
Through using drones, West Midlands Police has been able to identify three suspects who are believed to have thrown fireworks on the 31st. The three men involved were arrested in the Handsworth area of the city.
According to West Midlands Police, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested with charges of firework offences, assaulting an officer and violent disorder.
An 18-year-old has also been arrested under changes of firework offences, violent disorder and suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
Lastly, a 19-year-old has been arrest also under the charges of assaulting a police officer.
The three involved were arrested after fireworks were targeted at police officers and police cars.
Multiple users on social media have came out to link these firework incidents this year to sci-fi movies, with multiple people using fireworks as weapons, with one person saying: “Where do u buy this? That’s Star Wars not fireworks”.
Others showed concern about the behaviour, adding: “This is why UK is going downhill. Lost man’s doing stuff like this.”
Social media user, Tim Cannon, also said: “These firework wars are happening each year now and they try to outdo each to her – someone is going to end up seriously hurt or dead.”
Its been reported by West Midlands Police that a van from Handsworth has been seized after patrols found the van selling fireworks from the vehicle.
The van was taken after discovering its storage license for fireworks was expired. The van is currently under investigation by West Midlands Police to discover if the van is connected to the events that transpired on the 31st October.
West Midlands Police stated: “Officers are now investigating to see if this is linked to the disorder in Birmingham. The van was also seized.
“We’ll have another tough focused policing operation in place today, and over the coming days, to keep our communities safe.”
