Ranked: The 11 highest paid I’m A Celeb campmates of all time and their huge jungle fees
It’s becoming a regular thing for celebrities to get paid in the millions
In the most recent series’, I’m A Celeb has had huge fees for getting stars to appear on the show. You’d think it would be difficult to put a price on having to endure up to three weeks in hell. But, for some of the highest paid I’m A Celeb stars of all time, that price was pretty decent. Being fed next to nothing and having bugs crawling all over you in the night apparently does have a price.
Over the years there have been loads of six and even seven figure sums paid out to a whole range of different celebs to face their fears – from soap stars to MPs, and footballers to reality TV icons. Here’s a ranking of the highest paid I’m A Celeb campmates of all time.
11. Mo Farah – £300k
Firstly, Olympian Mo Farah was paid £300k for the jungle. Well, he was paid £300k for the castle, as he was a cast member when the show went to Wales for a bit. A strange time!
10. Matt Hancock – £400k
Matt Hancock, at the time, was the wildest signup for I’m A Celeb in the show’s history. Then they got in Nigel Farage. He was said to have been paid £400k. Following this fee being made public, a spokesperson for Hancock said: “Matt will be making a donation to St Nicholas Hospice in Suffolk and causes supporting dyslexia off the back of his appearance.”
9. Amir Khan – £400k
Most Read
Amir Khan provided one of the most over the top scandalous moments of the 2017 series. He ate the strawberries and cream he’d won during the Dingo Dollars challenge, then told camp he’d lost. For that, the £400k seems worth it.
8. Ian Wright – £400k
Ex-footballer Ian Wright MBE was part of the show in 2019. He was paid £400k and lasted 18 days in the jungle. Not bad for two and a half week’s work.
7. Katie Price – £450k
Katie Price is an I’m A Celebrity legend – and back when she was on the show the fees were a lot less. Katie is the only celebrity to have been on the show not once, but twice. When she went on in 2004 she met her first husband Peter Andre, and went on it again in 2009 at the cost of £450k. I wonder which prize she appreciated more?
6. Boy George – £500k
Boy George was believed to have been paid £500k to appear on the show, making him one of the highest paid I’m A Celeb campmates to date.
5. Harry Redknapp – £500k
Boy George isn’t the only one who bagged £500k for appearing on the show – as did football manager Harry Redknapp. He was in the 2018 jungle and definitely earned his fee because he ended up being crowned king of jungle. Fair enough.
4. Caitlyn Jenner – £500k
Also bagging half a million was Caitlyn Jenner. The entire nation was shook when she was announced as a campmate in 2019, and shook once again when she struck up an iconic friendship with Nadine Coyle and Jacqueline Jossa.
3. Noel Edmonds – £600k
Noel Edmonds was paid a huge amount, to end up being one of the biggest jungle flops of all time. The show shed £600k to get him on board thinking it would be a legendary signing. In reality, he was a late arrival in the 2018 series and was last to arrive, and first to leave. Fuming.
2. Nigel Farage – £1.5million
In 2023, Nigel Farage set a dangerous precedent for I’m A Celeb to start paying its highest paid camp mates in the millions. In 2023 he entered the jungle and his steep price tag was £1.5million.
1. Coleen Rooney- £1.5million
Finally, 2024 cast member Coleen Rooney is also believed to have been paid £1.5million to be in the jungle. Above all, I think we can say Rebekah Vardy is shaking right now.
