The way you get Glasto tickets has changed for 2025, so here’s how to maximise your chances
The days of trying on a billion devices are OVER!!
Today is the day we crave (and dread) for the entirety of the year – tickets for Glastonbury 2025 go on sale at 6pm. If you aren’t already registered to get tickets, then pack it in reading this now – you’re too late. But for those of us who got our arse in gear and registered before Monday, it’s all to play for. Glastonbury 2025 has changed the way you get tickets compared to the old method, and there are things the festival advises you not to try to maximise your chances. Here’s a full guide to everything you need to do this year to bag Glastonbury 2025 tickets after the changes.
A guide to all the Glastonbury 2025 tickets system changes
In the past, to bag Glastonbury tickets you had to keep refreshing the website in order to be taken to the landing page. You could try on multiple devices and it was feral. Not really sure if the new system for Glastonbury tickets is going to be any better, because it kind of already reminds me of the Oasis fiasco – but here’s what’s changed.
Get onto the Glastonbury website before 6pm tonight and at 6pm you will be give a randomly allocated slot in a virtual queue. Everyone who is on the site will be assigned a position at random – and if you join after 6 then you will be sent to the back. Literally do not do this, because you can say goodbye to your ticket chances if you do.

The actual booking process once you get in should be the same as previous years, with one chief booker and five others you can add from your group of six. There will be tonight’s 6pm one for coach ticket packages and the one on Sunday morning at 9am for general admission. As is familiar if you’ve ever done a Ticketmaster queue, you’ll see a progress bar for your position which Glastonbury has never had before.
Basically, the biggest change is do not try and use multiple devices to maximise your chances because the site can see this as dodgy and it could harm your chances and kick you out.
You’ll have to pay a £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket + coach travel) is due when booking tonight or on Sunday – with the total cost of Glastonbury 2025 now sitting at £373.50 with a booking fee of a fiver. It’s gone up £13.50 since last year. And over 100 quid in the last six years.
But don’t think about that – it’s a life changing experience worth every penny. Good luck tonight, and may the Glasto odds be forever in your favour, soldier.
