Referendum on York’s NUS affiliation to take place in week 8

The vote will decide whether we remain or leave the National Union of Students

Later this term, students at the University of York will have the opportunity to vote on the status of YUSU's affiliation with the National Union of Students.

The referendum was originally postponed until next year, due to a consultation with students about the organisation. But following the consultation, the referendum will now continue as planned, taking place in week 8 of Summer Term.

YUSU held a briefing in YourSpace on the 23 May for those interested in leading the campaigns.

Do you want to have a say in whether York remains or leaves the NUS? YUSU have asked interested students to email [email protected] in order to get involved or attend the referendum debate on the 3 June at 2pm.
