BUCS Loughborough Loughborough University

Luff had a successful Wednesday of BUCS fixtures mostly against University of Leeds teams.

The Lacrosse Women’s 1s won comprehensively 39-2 against Leeds 1s.

The Rugby Union Men’s 1s beat their Leeds counterparts 36-12.

The Women’s Hockey 1s won 4-0 against Leeds.

Sports Editor Todd Barrett reports from the game: “Loughborough Hockey Women’s 1st XI trounced Leeds at home on Wednesday. Loughborough led 1-0 at halftime thanks to an opening strike from JoJo Blunt before goals from Kate Reynolds, Ellie Tait and Claudia Moehrke secured an emphatic victory against a poor Leeds side. Loughborough dominated throughout and deserved their victory.

While the Men’s hockey 1s also won against Leeds, with an impressive 6-1 scoreline.

Away from the block of fixtures against Leeds.

The Women’s hockey club had a solid day of results.

The Rugby League Men’s 1s had a good win at a difficult place to go in St Mary’s, Twickenham, 18-26. While the 2s beat Birmingham 1s 20-16.

The Rugby Union Women’s 1s had a resounding 75-5 win at Birmingham, the Men’s Rugby Union 2s and 3s won 43-8 against Nottingham and 41-7 against Birmingham.

Elsewhere the Table Tennis Men’s 1s won 14-3 against Nottingham, the Badminton Men’s 1s and 2s won against Leeds Beckett Carnegie and Nottingham Trent, 7-1 and 6-2 respectively.
