White resigns from exec position

Natasha White quits position to focus on career

| UPDATED

Natasha White, the Vice-President elect for Welfare and Diversity, has resigned with immediate effect, leaving a vacancy for the 2014/15 year.

It is understood that White has signed a contract for another job and so will be unable to take up the £16,000+ a year post representing the students of Loughborough.

Interviews are to be held next week to find a successor for Izzy Ford, the current Welfare and Diversity VP, who is due to finish her one year contract with the union in July.

In an e-mail seen by The Epinal, Josh Hurrell said: “If you are still looking for a grad job or a placement year then I have some exciting news for you”!

He added: “Natasha was offered a job with a company that will be able to progress her career in the industry she wants to work in. In such a competitive jobs market we encourage all graduates to do what is best for their personal and career goals. Obviously we would have loved Natasha to be on the executive team next year, but we wish her all the best in her future”.

The closing date for applications is Friday June 20 and interviews are being held on June 24. An announcement can be expected shortly afterwards.
