Revolution Bournemouth has closed down with immediate effect

RIP Toast Tuesdays

Revolution Bournemouth has announced its closure with immediate effect.

The venue announced its closure yesterday on its website, social media accounts and in an email to users who had ordered via their app.

While providing no explanation for its closure, a statement thanked customers for their support over the years and explained that the bar would close indefinitely on April 29th.

It read: “We have loved shaking your cocktails and creating unmissable days and nights over the years, but as of today, 30th April, we will sadly be closing our doors in Bournemouth. We wanted to extend an enormous thank you for joining the Revolution party over the years.”

The closure follows the brands plans to close “a quarter” of all Revolution venues nationwide. Revolution Bars announced earlier this year that eight sites across country would be closing as Rob Pitcher, chief executive, warned that “Revolution’s younger guests are still feeling the disproportionate effect of the cost of living crisis

Revolution Bournemouth was unavailable to give a statement to The Tab at this time.

This comes after Halo’s closure in January due to financial challenges as a result of changing student culture, external pressures of Brexit and the cost of living crisis.

Revs and it’s infamous Toast Tuesday will be missed by all of us students!
