Taylor Swift fans have raised a huge amount of money for victims of the Southport attack
Three children were killed at a Taylor Swift themed dance class
Taylor Swift fans have raised over £330,000 for the victims of the Southport attack in only three days.
This comes after the knife attack at a Taylor Swift dance class left three children dead and seven others in critical care. A 17 year old man has been charged with three counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder.
Set up by two members of the Taylor Swift UK & EU Facebook Group, Cristina Jones and Holly Goldring, the fundraiser, which is working alongside Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, has had donations from over 20,000 people.
The JustGiving page reads: “We are working with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to help raise money for the families affected by the tragedy in Southport, and raising funeral funds for the three young swifties who have tragically passed. Every donation through this link goes directly to the verified charity below, which will in turn help make a difference to those impacted in a time of great sadness. Forever and always, thank you. Cristina Jones and Holly Goldring.”
The three girls killed in the attack have been named as six year old Bebe King, seven year old Elsie Dot Stancombe and nine year old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.
A GoFundMe has also been set up for Alice, which has currently raised over £22,000.
Releasing a statement on Instagram, Taylor spoke of the “horrendous trauma” of the attack. The fundraiser has been set up by Southport-based Benridge Care Homes and Good Companions, where Alice’s mother worked, and donations are set to go to help with any costs the family may face.

She said: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I’m just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how ever to convey my sympathies to these families.”
